After information comes to light, Dawn and Lorelai are understandably upset, and don't really wanna talk to their moms right now. While an entire wing of Sunnydale hospital doesn't see Dawn as a person, Emily and Richard don't see Luke period, despite him standing there for a good 2 minutes. Luke and Christopher fight over who gets to kill Logan. Ben and Glory fight over who gets to hang out with Dawn. And though Dawn and Rory agree it's time to grab a blonde bad boy and take matters into their own hands, the two have VERY different opinions about marshmallows.
